About Shayla

My name is Shayla Drumm. I have been happily married to my husband, Kyle, since 1993 and we have two children, Braxton and Kristen. We have been residents of Texas since 1989 and lived in Iowa prior to that time.

I have been licensed with the Texas Department of Health and Protective Services since 1998 when my son, Braxton, was one year old. After visiting Braxton’s in-home provider I realized that I wanted to pursue a career of my own in child care.

Shortly after enrolling my first students, I knew I had found my passion! I enjoy teaching the children, interacting with them, and watching them grow into valuable little people.

I am a sincere and caring woman and this enables me to bond quickly with the children in my care. I respect each child and expect him or her to show the same respect to me, as well as other children and adults. I value your ideas and opinions and am open to any suggestions you may offer. If you have a concern I will listen and try to help in whatever way I can. I will be happy to share the resources available to me as well as what my years of practical experience as a child care provider and mother have given me. I look forward to the opportunity to participate in your child’s growth anddevelopment as we build a lasting relationship.
