Licensing & Training

Academy For Kids is currently licensed with the State of Texas Department of Health and Protective Services and has been since 1998.  The local licensing provides frequent inspections as well as technical assistance.  For more information go to www.dfps.state.tx.us.

  • Certified in Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid
  • Enrolled in and monitored by Nutritional Advantage, Inc., CACFP, USDA Food Program
  • Criminal background checks on me and all household members over age 14.
  • Accredited with NAFCC in 2001
  • Member of KAFCC (Keller Association of Family Child Care)

Training

Each year, I am required to complete a minimum of 30 clock hours of training.  To date I have received a total of 675 clock hours of training, averaging about 40 hours/year.  Listed below are just some of the classes that I have participated in.
